To be in the heart of Nature far away from the howling cities is in a way blissful, though limited be the amenities there! A poet needs quiet and peace where he can listen to the sounds of the woods and prairies! Lovely write!

i hope the prairie never fails you, and no rabid skunk ever assails you. If the 'little store' is closed for lunch, around back you'll find cacti...... on which to munch. :) bri now i'll gladly put your poem into November showcase, Section A, and send to MyPoemList. thanks. i like it btw! bri :) details: are deserts, plains, and prairies all found in one small area? is the title's Sage the plant or the author? i like how you used the slang name for San Antonio Texas in order to make one of your fine rhymes!

I like how you caught on that the word SAGE has more than one meaning. I'll let you decide which one I meant. Thanks for the comment.
