Song Of Soft Voices Poem by Matloob Bokhari

Song Of Soft Voices

SONG OF SOFT VOICES
I saw a rapturous beauty
More beautiful thansilvery-silken light
Sweeter than daughter of Troy,
A smiling rose
Playing with rippling of river
In the field full of lilies
Clad all in white
Walking like breeze on the mountain
Gleaming stars, shining moon in silent night
Were praising her beauty
She was singing with sweetcharm of singingbirds
'O all those who worship Truth
O all those who drink wine of Love
Come out of temples
Pray with purple clouds
With calm, patient and forgiving heart
Keep yourself away - away from those
Selling blood of religion
Selling soul of Glorious God
O beautiful creation
Don't burn places of worship
Don't break hearts: God dwells there
