The title instantly drew me in and every word afterward had me hooked, there are so many beautiful things in this world that sometimes they are more beautiful because they have not been touched or found. This was a stellar read

Everyone has a treasure to search, a diamond. You made me think of mine, my potential, what I have been meant to, why I am here. Maybe to share something. I am still seeking and I think so do you. thank you. ilaria

Beautiful Val, as always, you bring the true beauty of what you describe in your poems through your words. You are perfect in your choice of words, and the flow is also perfect. Thank you for yet another 'gem' of a poem.

all these precious items may be hidden in the earth or in the mind, but they have to be nurtured to see the beauty of it! without such polishing the diamond or the gold will be left unattended..so we have to bring out from the heart, mind and soul to see the beauty by practicing! Nice poem! Thank you for sharing!

an elderly gent with first name lynn wrote a short poem recently entitled 'a glint of gold' i believe. much different than yours but you might enjoy it. it has a WW2 theme. also his poem 'an abyss of....something '....i can't recall the title exactly.....is quite deep....has to do with defining what it means to have faith (in God) i believe.

i think i read this a day or two ago, but perhaps not carefully. today i reread it and find it very entertaining and thought-provoking. is grey stone your brain? wish i could read some poet notes from you on this. but it stands well without them. sometimes it is good to allow the reader to have her/his own interpretation i suppose, without the hindrance of poet notes.

very inspiring, well crafted and rhythmic and meaningful... wonderful poem. i want to say here- - twilight on face antecedents shine of love, vitreous of luster on a crystal as diamond, the dark of the darkness beget the diamond, dark defuses and alchemize, the black- grinned caliginous to illumine as a small table lamp glimmer glee with the end of darkness. -

The sweetness, melody, and musicality of your poem are also a gem shining throughout the whole thread. Love it! May that ray of hope illuminate your path everyday!
