Mary, Once again you capture the essense of a complex social condition in which you are 'damned if you do and damned if you don't.' Being a divorcee can create a nasty and frequently false stigma, especially if your former partner has a silver tongue and the popularity factor on their side! Well done! Besides being well-written, this poem is also a sensitive and compassionate perception of the dilemmas faced by those who have - so to speak - fallen off the edge of their lives. It's very hard to 'pull yourself up by your bootstraps' when you have none. Absolute 10 for this one, Mary. Nice title, too.
