Somewhere At Sea (Barbeque Party) Poem by Sophie Allyah

Somewhere At Sea (Barbeque Party)

We have a grill with broiling meats
A whole pig staked for a lechon baboy
While cooking we have beers and bits
We took photos together in joy
This is our very first barbeque party
Celebrating to know each other more
To strengthen our bond truly
Relishing altogether therefore
To mellow out in the waving sea
Complete with foreign music we glee
To enjoy more after the meal
We have this damaged life raft for the pool
Savoring the moment in weal
We don't care if we looked like a fool
After all there's nobody here but us
Becoming a family with delicate trust
This occurrence is not new to me
In other vessels we also had barbeque party
And each parties I had lots of fun
I must say throughout was good and keen
But I never had the chance to make one
Only this time, a poem, I mean
