I am not sure it is Love that hurts. I think it is more ones perspective of love that can hurt or bring joy. A very heartfelt poem Sandra.
For me, it is that broken love you are feeling that hurts and it's a very personal thing, Each person may hurt in a different way, with different intensity, some can take it, others can go as far as suicide. Thank you for reading and for you pleasant comment.
At the same time/Love can feel/Like a new born star/That inwardly, sears you/Lighting a fire…..I identify these words as the essence of this wonderful work….10
