Somethings You Can't Measure

We can measure almost everything,

From the speed of light,

to the smallest grains of sand,

to buildings, that rise to the heights.

Even the temperature, or moisture in the air,

the size of our shoes, when we buy a pair,

to the meter in the cabs, that regulate our fare.

There are things in life,

we just can't scale or weigh,

the enjoyment, of watching the sun,

set across the bay,

to a friendship that last,

with the memories, that stay.

We can not measure how long,

we will live until the end,

or the trust we have, between our friends,

not even the thoughts, that come and go in our mind,

or the amount of love, we can receive,

and give, during this life time.
