Something Real Poem by Nidhi Agrawal

Something Real

In the dusky light of evening,
when the sun begins to set
When the skyline becomes darker
my mind begins to wander.
Urging me to leave the town
and slithering clouds of smoke
and flashy neon lights
in search of something real.
Like the twinkling starry light
sound of humming fireflies
feel of softly rustling leaves
moonlight dancing on quiet trees.
Filling my heart with peace
and my eyes with drunken sleep.
