SOMETHING I LOOK AT-407
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY
After days and months
you brought back my smile once more.
Through endless nights of darkness
you led me gently to the golden shore.
The blind regained his sight,
the lifeless stirred anew—
such is the miracle
in the tender grace of you.
It feels as though
a summer rain has touched my soul
drenching body and mind
in joy too vast to control.
You don't know
what you truly mean to me,
how your presence breathes life—
your absence, a silent plea.
I don't know
how to thank someone who is my life, my whole world.
A request
Please be with me,
don't drift away—
I am afraid, may not survive your departure once again
