SOMETHING I LOOK AT-400

ABINASH KUMAR SAHU

As a bright star in Nuapatna's sky
he shone so high,

Born to Kshetramohan and Binapani with dreams soaring nigh.

In Nuapatna Chatashali
his learning took flight,

Nurtured by wisdom
his future was bright.

At S.K Academy and Alanahat's hall,

Scaling great heights
he excelled above all.

HSCE in '78, his brilliance was clear,

Knowledge at Ravenshaw
he held so dear.

Under its banner
he conquered the test,

Marching to REC
where he proved he's the best.

A civil engineer, in '85 he stood tall,

Roorkee's M.Tech added glory to all.

Sharing his life with Laxmipriya's grace,

A true-life partner
in love's warm embrace.

Hard work and passion led to his fame

Unmatched in brilliance
a glorious name.

Now retired
but still on his quest

Unfolding new knowledge never at rest.

A chief engineer
a scholar so grand,

Pioneering water work
with a master's hand.

A role model
a beacon so bright,

Tireless in wisdom
a guiding light.

Now with Phd
he marches ahead,

A legend in learning
forever widespread.

(Abinash Kumar Sahu, son of the late Kshetramohan Sahu and Binapani Dei, was born on July 6,1963, in the village of Nuapatna. He began his education at Madhupr Chatashali, later attending S.K. Academy and Alanahat High School. He completed his High School Certificate Examination (HSCE) in 1978 from Alanahat High School and his Intermediate Science from Ravenshaw College in 1980, excelling as one of the top students in the state.

In 1985, he earned a B.Sc. in Engineering (Civil) from REC, Rourkela, one of India's premier technical institutes. He later pursued an M.Tech in Water Resources from IIT Roorkee.

On July 4,1991, he married Laxmipriya Dei, an Ayurvedic professor. After a distinguished career, he retired as Chief Engineer on July 31,2023. A versatile genius and brilliant scholar, he has excelled in his field, serving as a role model for many. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Groundwater Development.)
