SOMETHING I LOOK AT-124
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

LOVE WINS

My love!
translation is a difficult art.
How can I translate
your love, emotions and feelings
to a language understood
by the assassins of love.
Neither they loved anyone
nor do they understand love,
its language and chemistry.
They drag love to the mundane
and tell me to tie the nuptial knot
with someone else.
How can I tell them love happens once
and I am in love with you.
How can I let them understand and fathom the beauty and intensity of our love?
How can I let them know what you mean to me,
convince them I am just a body
and you are the soul inside.
When the soul leaves, the body dies.
I don't think, I need to clarify anything to anyone.
Our love stands above everything,
not subject to anyone's whims and caprice.
Love wins and our love will win.
Heaven may fall, the ocean may dry,
but we will never allow our love to concede.
Over the years love has been crucified,
lovers were made to part
to meet in another world.
We are unlike our predecessors,
will make our love a reality before the nose of the enemies of love.
Now the murderers of love
have come in a different guise.
In every age, those who are in love
are made scapegoats,
this time we will never let them do so.
Love asserts and when it asserts,
nothing can hold it back.
Mountains and oceans may come in between but love will let them subside.
They say you are perfectly wrong for me.
How little do they know about you and I will prove and let them accept beyond doubt,
for me, no one is as good
and as perfect as you.
