Oh, sweet desire, fill my heart
For someone to hold, never to part
I search the land, and sail the sea
My soul longs for someone to love, to be with me

Each morning, I wake with a hop divine
That today will be the day, my love will shine
But time goes by, and I am still alone
My heart aches for my soulmate, yet to be known

I see couples strolling hand in hand
In envy, I watch, wishing for someone to understand
The empty space beside me, an endless void
Until someone to love enters my life, I am devoid

Oh, the loneliness, it consumes my days
I try to fill the void in countless ways
Yet nothing can replace the warmth of a lover's embrace
Someone to love, my heart's deepest grace

In the starry night, I whisper my plea
For the universe to bring someone to me
A love that's true, pure and divine
A love that's everlasting, till the end of time

I try to keep the faith, to not lose hope
For I know in my heart, there is someone to elope
With me, in this journey called life
My soulmate, my partner, my forever, my wife

Oh, how my heart longs for someone to love
To share life's joys and overcome the tough
I know one day, my search will be over
And I will find my true love, my lover.

So, I wait and I hope, with all my might
For my prayers to be answered, bringing love's light
For when I finally meet my one true love
My heart will sing, like a soaring dove

Until then, I'll keeping searching, with faith and grace
For someone to love, my heart to embrace
And when we finally meet, it'll be worth the wait
For our love will be a ballad, sung by fate.
