Someone cares
In my domain of solitude
Where sorrows grow
Worries congeal
Like sacrificial blood
Where tears flow to dry up
Leaving scars down my cheeks
I hear whispers of encouragement
I feel life giving lips
Breathing into my heart
And i feel the soft pressure
On my chest keeping me breathing
I feel wanted
Cared for
Encouraged
Renewed
Someone cares.
The lumber i bear
Digging deep in my shoulder
Drawing blood
The fake tiara
Pricking life out my head
And the slope to the hill
Made steeper by the whip
Are no match for the love
Of the invisible
I bear them with smiles
Knowing next to me
Someone heals
Soothes
I can take it
I can make it
Someone cares.
