though i don't happen to have the beliefs which would make me agree with the meanings of the poem or the poet's notes, I DO like both very much. it would be nice if they are true......FOR EVERYONE! not just for the ones who happen to believe in God or follow the right path in their lives. No immigration checks or hassles as before.... but when i was a christian, i was taught that nobody will get into Heaven unless they believe in God, and maybe even 'repent' of their sins; i'm not sure about the second part. :) so, if that is the case, it would be like 'immigration checks'. you are speaking of a particular religion? ? ? ? And what more, it will feel like really being back home.. .... this IS a comforting thought for those who believe in home aka Heaven as being a lovely place. [BUT I would write “what’s more” as in “what is more”, not “what more”. maybe it’s just a typo or a difference between this side of the Earth and the other side. :) ] here in the U.S., some ashes are kept in jars or thrown into the wind to go where the wind takes them. of course much of the burned remains just go into the trash bin i think. thanks for a few rhymes. bri :)

Ah when we come to that distant shore, lay aside this earthly bodyto clothe ourselves in stars. A deeply mystical poem 10/10 BB : O)

Lovely and eloquent expressions. Your poem talks of the truth that we should always remember.
