Someday, If Only Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Someday, If Only

If only
I became a comet
Planting a new world
Upon the seeds of these passionate dreams
Crashing down with a new sense of purpose
Creating a new atmosphere
Full of peace and love
And serenity beyond
What earth has ever seized

If only
I was something beyond
What I am now
Then I would finally feel
Like I truly belong somewhere
Far away from here

Is there such a place
Where I truly belong?

My world
A place I can finally be at ease

If only it truly existed
Who knows...?
I still should always believe
In these dreams

Someday, I will feel like I belong, somewhere
