Some Who's A Friend Poem by Ray Hansell

Some Who's A Friend

When you said
The word goodbye
I knew you meant it
That's why I cried

I guess it's because
Of what I feel for you
Believing in my heart
That was tough for you to do

We shared so many memories
Laughter and some pain
But with you gone from my life
I will never be the same

I know we didn't have the best
Of all relationships
But when you were away from me
It was you I surely missed

We didn't get much time together
That was the bad part
BUt I hope you know from now until forever
You'll always be in my heart

Time was our enemy
Because we never had enough
But through it all we remained
So very much in love

The times I spent by your side
Will live with me forever
I told you before, I'll tell you again
I will forget you never

I don't want to say goodbye
Because it sounds like the end
That's the word you never use
With someone who's a friend

I know I have to face it
I know that I will win
No matter where life takes me
I'll never forget where I've been
