Some Poets Poem by DM W

Some Poets

Rating: 4.8

Some poets contain the wilderness within them.
They boldly seek out stranger skies, seas and climates.
They are not so enamoured by the provincial.
Even the whole world is somewhat of a prison.
They are not swayed by the whims of fashion.
They don't pursue novelties, but inner visions.

The title you've put here is apt, I think.

You have very correctly brought out the attributes of some poets. Some of these are common to many poets, perhaps. A nice poem, well done!

Thanks Khairui. I originally thought of entitling it ' True poets'...but I thought that was a case of unnecessary generalization.

some poets are not poets though we think; some poems are not poems though we think; full of this earth everyone is poet and every writing is poem but some are powerful and some powerless...... powerless writing always becomes shrewd aggressive!
