Ernest Hemingway's narrator in THE SUN ALSO RISES tells us YOU CAN'T BE HARD BOILED AT NIGHT, which means you can't deceive yourself or distract yourself. This attitude is almost the polar opposite of yours which sees the night as a threshold environment, leading to a variety of alternatives. The most important detail is that you don't see night as a dead end but rather a realm of possibility. And the Poet-Seer is nearby to provide a poetic map if needed. I may be overemphasizing the positive notes in this poem, there may be negative notes I'm missing. But you open with the phrase THIS NIGHT WAS BLESSED and that phrase shapes my reading.
