In my solitude, the words flow
In my solitude, the blues expand
As it's the only time I think of you
The words aren't imprisoned in my soul
They're released like doves in the silence
Of my thoughts
Soaring to the corners of my world
As I hope they reach you
......released like doves in the silence.....just marvelous.....
Beautifully penned. Solitude can both be painful and productive. The agony of loneliness can transform into beautiful poetry. Bravo!
Beautiful and so sadly sweet. Melts the heart, with instant reach! Another poetic, hit!
Another fantastic tribute to the incomparable Billie Holiday. The whole poem is outstanding...and 2 lines really grasped mine attention.
Lovely poem LeeAnn, solitude is a prison without walls but bearable through love.
