O you could possess the kingdom of Love
But you never get close to anyone.
You heart is closed. You won't let gentle doves
In. You sneer coldly as all you gaze upon
Turns to stone. In the end, you stand alone.
The years are now getting darker. The light
Is fading within you. You carry woes
That could be shared even in dreadful nights.
Yet you've lost your faith in humanity
And wear a cynic's mask. The hopes and dreams
You looked to as a child are still within reach,
Yet you will not relinquish rigid schemes.
I truly pity what you stand for now.
May God give you all the Grace that is allowed.
