.....
I loved her
From the heart,
The deepest part
I've ever known.
Crisp as ever
Were a wind-
And patient as
A corner stone.
I loved her
Like a whisper
Lost within
A gentle sigh...
I loved her
With a fire
That could light
The northern sky.
I loved her
Tender as the night,
And grand as
Any sea.
I loved her
Deep, and fierce, and full.
But she did not
Love me.
