Solemn Vow Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Solemn Vow

The holy and sacred swear
Is made by the groom and bride;
Let true love live in their hearts,
Instead of the hate and pride.

Yes, they are no longer two
But one in the Almighty;
Going not separate ways,
They remain in unity.

Partners for better or worse,
They gladly stay together;
No matter what may happen,
They care for one another.

Trials will certainly come
To test the lifetime union;
Undaunted despite the threat,
The couple will just hang on.

They will never break their oath,
Hoping for the glorious bliss;
Until the very last breath,
They keep the sacred promise.
