'captives to nation's duty...' I feel grimly connected to that. I've been in a warzone for the past 4 months...I'm starting to think the idea of a soldier who's truly willing to give his life for country and democracy, is a myth...some soothing embellishment we tell shattered, young widows/children. We don't believe. We're hostages of our own decisions.

However futile we believe war to be there is always disputes going on around the world and soldiers sacrifice so much, and I believe they are unsung heroes, a very profound poem here Ke, 10 for this, Lynda xxx

On the backs of our soldiers, our nations depend. So much sacrifice..noble pain worth respect and honor.10

Aggressiveness as a form of boldness binds one to be captive to duty for the sake of the nation even if he feels remorse to be a soldier. The extreme sacrifices not only he but his family makes in the name of pride and honor go unknown unless in a few rare cases. All that his family receives are some words of comfort and a role of honor at a presentation ceremony. We as sections of large communities rarely realize that it is only because of their exemplary sacrifices that we are able to sleep peacefully and exist as a nation. The entire concept and thinking prowess of your empathetic soul is well portrayed here in your poignant poem.

Poignant - and true Kesav! The brave soldiers are captive to their duty - many die. As their (widows and families) mourn 'their heroes lost' and the price that it cost For freedom - I can understand the soldier, being captive to his duty - and why! Best regards, *10*! ! ! Friend Thad

Even in the bee kingdom, they have queen bee, drone bee, workers bee and so on. Likewise exist in the ant kingdom also. The rights of a territory have to be well protected at any time at any cost. In this order, some die for the cause to make others live to enjoy. There is always a price for buying peace in the world. It can be in cash or kind, like the lives of men who have sacrified their lot in the past, present and it will continue in future also. How many gave their lives in the Kurushetra war, led by Lord Krishna himself on the justice side? This is the order of the Lord, who created this world.
