* Soft Hands Yet Sure Soothe Poem by Terence George Craddock

* Soft Hands Yet Sure Soothe

with a moist
wet clothe
Clemency

washed away
rich red blood
from fresh cut

above eyelid
as he stood
silently

passively

Mother instinct
administered
maturely tenderly

as quiet
time
passed by

chance
wound
sealed

with
a band-aid
which

stretches
to cover
quivering

normality

minor wounds
are easily dressed

as heartbeat
moments
of tenderness

are remembered best

wounds
etched
upon flesh

are easily
first aid put
to rest
