Socially I Poem by Rob Knetsch

i am ready for the world to sleep on it
why isn't the world sleeping on it?
why isn't anybody sleeping over?
staying here all night, in pyamas?

i may not be the most interesting person
but is it alright for the world to ignore me?
is there a law that says to leave me alone?
is there a reason for staying away from me?

i need to get at least a little bit attention
does the world really turn away from me?
am i not a human with feelings and needs?
do i have to join fbuck and tweedledee first?
