Two images of hope open the poem: sunlight and embers flaring up. Both happen automatically and without human action needed. So I'm assuming this emotional hope will have the same quality of reliable fulfillment! ! We can at least hope the hope is genuine. The brevity of this poem is part of its meaning: You've stated their case. now you have to fall silent while destiny, the good angel, a happy coincidence - one of these things - takes over and performs the necessary operations to make THE SHINING happen! !

Your poetry shines like gentle gems glowing for us all to be illuminated in a little more beauty, a little more grace, a little more artistic grace. Bravo. :)

The creatures that a culture produces are people easily dismissed. Too common, too predictable, flashy, phony, frightened, frivolous. We want the electricity. We do not wish to settle. We want that feeling from another soul that goes beyond poetic definition. The wait becomes poetry, a beacon, an aqualung to keep us alive. To make it all worthwhile. Believing that the journey has an end..............it must.
