So Many Truths But I Choose One Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

So Many Truths But I Choose One

In my life
I have followed one simple rule
To hold still my happiness
Not to reveal my unhappiness
I have followed the path of beauty
To the oasis of peace
I have not hesitated to drink from this bowl
Because my life needed this remedy
To be meaningful
I cannot tell you all my secrets
But I can promise you
I hold my happiness closer to my heart
This where I hide my tears and my joy
This where I have built a shelter
To paste all my secrets
I am not hiding anything though
Except my agonies
My joy is displayed
On the window of my soul
It is the beauty of life
That I want to showcase

Dedicated to a special friend
