So Good To Be Alive - Inspired By Pain And Suffering By Susan Williams

Rating: 5.0

It's so good
To be alive
Feel the sun shine
On this weathered face
Hear the nightingale
Sing such melodies of love
It's so good
To be alive
Dance in the rain
Walk in the forest
Ride the white stallion
In mountains touching God
It's so good
To be alive
Walking along the beach
Thanking God for these days
Tracing the footprints
On the shoulders of God
It's so good
To be alive
Painting the canvas
Of this wondrous life
Feeling the pain
The suffering
Of Jesus
And His Tribe

Thank you God
For Just One
More such day

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
All this past week, I have been in constant agony with the effects of food poisoning. No food. Nothing to drink other than sips of water. No sleep. Persistent toilet use. Such pain and suffering I wouldn't wish upon my greatest enemy. When I was finally able to sit down for a few minutes, I returned to my place of solace...Poem Hunter. The first poem I read was PAIN AND SUFFERING by the very gifted Susan Williams. It hit me like a ton of bricks. Especially after having recently been reading about Padre Pio. Flashes of great paintings and other wondrous works of art suddenly appeared before me in split seconds. I realized that my pain and suffering was nothing compared to others. Also, an epiphany: my pain and suffering all these years has been necessary for a higher purpose. God has granted me more than one life. And I have promised to serve God in mine own unique way.

This is so lovely and lush with wonder. It is how I imagine God wants us to live- our senses always alive to God; s creation set here to guide us, speak to us, soothe us, and in thanking God for our blessings we find more blessings still. I am sorry for your illness but if it brought your pen to write this.... well, I shall silence myself now and just read this beauty again! ! 10++++++++++++++++++++ and onto my fav list with all the rest of your poems! ! !
