Snakes Poem by Whispers of The Unseen

Snakes

Rating: 4.3

As I walk upon this Earthly soil,

I begin to think about the snake that coils,

Underneath the tree's shade I see,

Its eyes full of glee,

As it sees the coming prey,

Which to the snake is a stray,

Vulnerable and weak, too gentle to stay.

Little does it know that the prey can see,

The deadly eyes of the beastly adversary

And yet I simply walked past the tree.

The snake held back, for reasons arbitrary

Or was it just all imaginary?

Hey, 'Whispers', It is ALL imaginary; think of THAT. I recommend my poem Manu And The Snake. Welcome to PH, 'New Poet'. bri : )

Wow! Nice poem. Sigmund Freud has said that dreaming and visioning snakes is manifestation of sexual desire
