Snail Juice And Horsefly Milk Poem by Holly Gardner

Snail Juice And Horsefly Milk

I know you only want
Snail juice and horsefly milk
It's reasonable and true.
Oh, perfection and safety.

We have all that here
It's in the back
Behind the cases of love and devotion.
And selfless and loyal friendship.

The pink boxes?
Oh yes, that's the special.
But it's only to be purchased
On Sunday afternoon.

She says with a finger wag.
Umm, no you will fail
But fail we must sometimes
In search of the greater good.

Or what have you.
Ah! I have it here.
It's just the thing!
A cure for all that ails.

No but it could help.
Don't you agree?
She brushed the dust out of her ponytail.
Will that be cash or card?
