Smoke Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Smoke

Smoke

Tell me life,
It never divulges the names you hold,

The breaths that tells you're briefly alive,

Tell yet of life extensions, circumstances, vicissitudes
The breathing of the invisible,

How invisible in plain sights of daily, dayness,

You've become unrecognizable,

As l'm in me and you're on your owntransients holes,

When, In deep quandary
of despair
You find yourself at the edge of a verse,

The butt of or a cigarette smoke, Pleasures, Rites, Ruin, Passage,
Stamped out,

Strangers were never there in the first place,
Celebrating everywhere,
The butt of a song.
