Smitten Conscience Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Smitten Conscience

The young man walks through the throng
Oblivious of laughs n' cries
From a crowed smitten of wokeness
To him, all but a dereliction of thought
Seeing tides n' waves of foolishness rise to seats of power
Judges, blinded by avarice
Who'll save us from these human ruins
