Smiling Poem by Phil Soar

Smiling

Rating: 3.5

I started to note all the ways I can smile
To brighten the time up, for just a short while
And when I am smiling, my wrinkles might tell
If my mind is still active, and hopeful as well

I made a big effort to distance myself
But smile at the others who walk by in poor health
And wish them the best as I move swiftly away
Hoping we'll all meet up outside one day
