This is a worthy critique on the judgement we hold in our hearts which is no more than fear. It takes great courage to overcome the fear of strangers, especially if they are not pleasing to the eye.

It's true, a sincere spontaneous smile can make anyone beautiful, perhaps because they look accessible, as though they want to communicate and will accept you - we are all alone, and without smiles and communication we stay isloated from each other. The instinct that made you poeticise this moment of revelation and self awareness was a very healthy one...
