Smart Idiots We've Become Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Smart Idiots We've Become

Who could've known
That walking barefoot'd be
Connecting with dear mother earth
That public nudity'd be a question of rights
Ev'n thought tha' one day
Gender'd be academic and changeable
Who would've dreamt tha' one day
Cows' fart'd cause climate disaster
Or tha' one day human culling'd be necessary
Abortion, eùthanesia, any difference with honour killing?
We've become a smart world
Smart watch
Smart car
Smart home
Smart office
Smart road
But wha' are we but a bunch of idiots
Only power'd by negative emotions
