Don't go in the basement
It's a scary place to be
There's a little boy
Who lurks down there
He's always watching me
I learned he lived… and died
Within this house
A long, long time ago
He loved to play with marbles
And I'll tell you how I know
I heard a marble roll across an empty room
Where I then was scared to go
When the room was checked
No marble found
My dread began to grow
I found a small clay marble
While digging with a hoe
And heard a ghostly, little giggle
As I nearly chopped my toe!
The little boy is lonely
And for me it's plain to see
He just wants a friend
To laugh and play
And ease eternity
