Slowly But Surely Poem by Raimi Babatunde

Slowly But Surely

Want to be popular like Gates? Nope.
Want to be rich like Dangote? Nope.
Desire all the gold in Saudi Arabia? Hell No
Do I want fame like Lionel Messi? Not at all.
I was born to solve problems
Problems that kept us here
I am born to liberate my people
From all forms of challenges
Via the instrumentality of my pen
Slowly but surely
Raising a new generation
Whose goal will be one
Rebuild and restore the glory of Africa
Then the world at large
It starts with me...
