With luminescent eyes staring at you In the urgency of those tasked ................maybe it is 'just me', but i'd use With also in place of In. favorite lines so far (of many) : Leaving you to face but A strangely scented mist Whose cold arms embrace you for a moment but are you SURE you and your wife were done with the bottle before making your mountain-cabin sightings? ? ! Yup! Lights of the Dead they are. i thought everybody knew THAT! ! ? TO mYpOEMlIST. bri ;)
Thank you Bri. 'Done with the bottle'? , you ask, well... er... perhaps not. Always sipping a little wine now and then. But it was also the dogs who got spooked, remember, and they hardly ever touch the stuff!

Forgot to say your suggestion below is quite right, only I didn't like two contiguous lines starting with 'with'. I'll see if I can come up with another alternative.
