Slow Dancing In A Freezing Room Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Slow Dancing In A Freezing Room

Rating: 4.3

Don't have money for rent
Body and soul quite spent
Damn cold in room from hell
Slow dancing staying warm

No job on horizon
I'm now out to pasture
Twilight years lonely
My baby soul's crying

Depression setting in
Light in her eyes dimming
Love's tearing us apart
Waiting for a new start

Woke up to find her gone
Landlord nowhere in sight
Writing is on the wall
Life's too short for the small

For life and love to end this way is the worst kind of personal tragedy
