Slipping Away Poem by Suki Nakamura

Slipping Away

light fades away
as sand slips away between my fingers
water drips
everything is either absorbed or
lost
love too diminishes
through distance
dissolves in the solutions of time
losing its sweetness
in the memory of one
whose grip
to fidelity is losing
reality melts
like mist like the ghosts
of names
you cannot anymore remember
