Sleep Near Poem by Kelly Boutin

Sleep Near

Searching for you I've spent my days
Traveling past what comes in the way
I've been trapped in moments
Where I'm frozen by fear
I've deadened my senses,
I've awoke to hear

Sleep now, sleep now, sleep now, sleep near

Expedition of love, expedition unknown
Searching for the most illusive
Thing in this world

I've traveled this planet
From sea to lake
But in all of the places, I've run in place
Never accomplished, tried and failed
Tested and true, but truth revieled
Expedition of love,
Story of my life

I've sought for you
You never came
I've said you were true
Until I saw the last page
The end so soon,
But can I make it?
I've deadened my senses
And then I've reawakened

Sleep now, sleep now, sleep now, sleep near
