Great question, all we can do is guess since he/she doesn't speak. The love and tenderness for this creature comes across, nice penning. 🌸

Death is hibernation, what else can be a dream, another spring of life. Nice poem.

What dreams will you see? This is such a super question that i can keep thinking the whole night and still never arrive at a satisfying answer. Kostas, i love the way you say -' Sleep well snake! Like a mother putting a baby to sleep. The word 'skink' makes this poem all the more attractive. An insightful poem full of hidden meaning....10

(cont.) looks like i was wrong. but WHO CAN/SHOULD believe Google! ! ? Skinks hibernate singly or in small groups from October through mid-March in decaying logs, under large rocks, or underground, below the frost line. i like the poem. did it take you many days to write it? ? ? ? ? ;) :) to MyPoemList it skinks....i mean slinks! bri :)

i was a 'wildlife science' 'major' before giving college a heave-ho*** my senior year. or was it college which gave me a heave-ho? ? so i know/have read/heard a lot about animals, as i did BEFORE college as well. *** noun noun: heave-ho: expulsion or elimination from a job, institution, or contest.
