hmmm. my fellow African. i love this work so much. but on commentary, i would say those gods were foolish. Thank God we are free from slave trade. colonialism is gone. but now we are faced with another deadly tread, NEOCLONALISM hmm! this one, is in disguise, hope we can write a poem about it together.......

Very informative and sad! Your poem reads like a history lesson of your people. You also pose questions in your poem which is important to help the reader understand your message and culture.

Of course I did have to go to google to get some help on some of the words of places and names I didn't know. I can understand your anger, frustrantion and so many other emotions I don't have the words to even begin to describe what you endured along with other generations. This is a beautifully composed write. Your feeling are from your heart and it show as the reader reads your words. -Robin xoxo

Beautifully written. The feelings you describe in this poem shows the pain and betrayal you feel about slavery and the wish to make things better with your belief and hard work. Simply beautiful.

Okurinmeta, amazing poem so deep and powerful, truth ringing its bell. I feel sorrow and pain deep in my heart so little do I understand how can that be. An amazing write straight to the heart and a remainder we are spirits in a human body, eternal. Thank you! love, kasia
