We must never forget these events in our history. This poem hit me straight in the heart with its devastating rawness and candor. I myself am half black and half hispanic. I too, am and always will be proud to be black!

brought as commodite, we work day and night without resting, who are we to compalin some die in the field with tears. i have tears in my eyes and complain to God only why such ill and inhuman treatment for only black brethern merely because they have no one s their saviors... i weep like boy for their sufferings... beautiful poem.....1o antyhing u read from my collection
