So sad to think of the suffering created by war. A powerful, well wrought poem.

A great poem with a historical background. I love the subtle anti-war tone. Real poetic skill to not be loud but to get your message across without being didactic. Kudos!

I couldn't imagine how a ruinous leader could still sleep at night haunted by the cries of those who were taken so early because of the war he aggressively initiated and advocated.

The war in Ukraine is an epic tragedy where Russia will never ever be forgiven

A very discerning write on war specially the current war in Ukraine. Sometimes the mind of a politician is too dangerous that it could bring the whole world into chaos and darkness. His greediness of power and wealth could take many men to their graves.

One man has been capable of starting a war, create war crimes, wreak havoc in Ukraine, energy crisis in Western Europe and sanctions in his own country for no reason.

" Others take their place as fresh Cannon fodder" the saddest thing about wars is fact that bad leaders who indulge in this I'll exploit that lofty ideology

I find the essence of this poem here: 'They may never see the calm of peace, Or the beauty of Their children Grow up, or even See the next sunrise'. As per my intuition, this precious poem will very soon move closer to Unni Ji's poem. Many congratulations! !

This poem speaks about the impenetrable "Fortress of Courage" while denouncing the ills of war. Profound. Marvellous, David.
