Moss covered walls beneath a gambrel roof
As sitting beside a brook I ponder aloof
The valley blanketed with Autumn's hues
And fluffy whites sailing in aerial blues

A very interesting write. The rhyming is very good. A blending of natural phenomena in the physical sense and the nature of human emotions. A sad tale of abandonment extremely well written.
first lesson from nature- when emotion overrules wisdom lost - a genuine situation beautifully depicted
Sitting beside a brook in a valley in the autumn, memories fly back to a time in summer when a girl got duped by a handsome guy! Their love had all the thrill and charm of a vigorous romance until things took a drastic turn when he learned that she was carrying his child in her womb! This probable story is given a realistic touch with the first person narration! It shakes the heart and takes us to the emotional turbulence of a would be single mother! A beautiful and poignant write Darlene!
A nice poem with a nice caption. Your vocabulary is splendidly rich. 'He swallowed me, heart and soul' - this line says more than the words can mean. 'His promises warmed me to my quim And filled my passion above the brim' - nice! Loved the description. Thanks to poetess Valsa George for bringing out the summary of the poem so nicely in her comment.
