Singing and dancing
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
The juke box in me wants to play
My favourite tune,
I gonna work for money, baby
‘Cos money talks to me
If work goes hand in hand;
I am gonna put on my dancing shoes
One foot on the ground, one sailing shoe
For I am sailin' sure
Not flying high
For the ground is meant to grow tulips;
Tulips are a recurrent theme
Magical colours floating in the garden
Reflections in the sunshine in me
Come to life;
Baby, I have my eye on a rolling pin with embossed tulips and roses
One that would decorate my veggie wraps
And veggie buns and calzones and rotis
For baking and cooking bread brings in the smell of romance, PM baby,
Baguettes say my innermost desire and a baguette with roses and tulips
Is what I would like served on my and your roster;
Deep purple, Barney's purple, dazzling white
Swaying and singing with the digital music
Digital
Jukebox comes alive
I sing my favourite tune
I gonna work for money, baby
‘Cos money talks to me
If work goes hand in hand.
