The last stanza is almost unbearably sad, on top of the sad situation in the first part of the poem. But tears are meant to be shed, that's their archetypal significance. If we don't feel intense sorrow we will probably feel intense anger at the suffering of innocent people. Grief or anger: I think your poem can lead us away from anger toward grief. Which is truly one of the good emotions, it makes us part of the human community to share grief. We should really hear the music too to fully experience the redemptive quality of this service. Mahler died before he could finish his Tenth Symphony, but the opening Adagio he did complete is suffused with tenderness, longing, sweetness, light - all the things that a dying man must part with - and listening to it is a moral action, we are better human beings after hearing that music from the heart. This ceremony and your poem which is its permanent memory perform the same moral act. It's sad and true. I hope other readers discover this poem.

An intense expression of a sorrowful mind as an effect of losing / missing the love or happy moments of life is dealt here in this poem with poet's intense feeling. Thanks for sharing.
