i love that you wrote about this! ! now, if only i could get you to proofread. ha ha. in the Poet's Notes, which i also 'love', use: plays a big part. years ago i wrote about macaroni and cheese, but the cook, a friend, did not appreciate it. : ( this is a very perceptive piece about a much-overlooked helper! ! ! bri :)

well, it was not UNTIL i read the VERY WELCOME Poet's Notes and looked up pretension that i reread the poem and finally got a little laugh! i'm out of time here for a few hours at least, but i plan to return to this. but let me give you this to think about. before i really understood what this was about, i wondered if there was a sexual reference in the fist stanza! i guess NOT! i'll send this to MyPoemList and get back to it someday....soon i hope. and it should fit well (with your Poet's Notes) in November's showcase. thanks, bri :)
