Since this pandemic, the scales should have fallen
From our eyes; so that we can now see clearly
That the political elites just don't care!
They may claim that we're all in this together but,
Now their words are sounding like empty rhetoric.
Some of us are still being forced to go to work
Or else wait days, or weeks, or months for benefits.
Our health services are now showing the strain,
As they have been underfunded for many years.
If we come out alive, God willing, we should vote
Most of them out! Here, the cold hearted Tories
Have tried to kill off the old and the infirm.
I'll never forgive these vermin if anything
Happens to my mother. We need revolution!

Dear Mr Critic I have removed your ill thought out comments and added a picture with a text taken from The Sunday Times 22nd March which refers to ' herd immunity'.. My poem is an institutional critique (i.e. a critique of how I think that the U.K government has handled the pandemic so far and not a conspiracy theory. It's a shame that you don't know how to distinguish between the two.
